The biggest event in franchising is just days away, and it’s worth your while to keep up with it.
That would be the International Franchise Association Convention 2012, which gathers together some the world’s best and brightest franchisors, franchisees and franchise experts for four days of panels, discussions, breakout sessions and free food. Oh, the food. It’s the biggest thing in franchise.
Our friends at FranchWire have talked a little bit about the event, but we’d like to spend a little more time discussing why it’s worth your while to keep track of what’s going on down in Orlando, Florida from Saturday through next Tuesday.
- It’s a state of the industry. While there’s always plenty to read about when it comes to franchises, gathering this much brainpower in one space ensures that you get a look at the industry from a bird’s-eye level and from those franchisees who are on the ground. That’s hugely valuable.
- You can learn what the IFA will be up to on your behalf in 2012. The organization has always been a force in Washington and continues to push hard for more franchise financing, among other benefits to franchisees. It pays to know what might be coming down the pipeline.
- There’s a lot of great advice at these conventions for anyone, with panelists as varied as our own Eric Renaud and marketing guru Guy Kawasaki.
So yeah, you’ll want to stay up-to-date on the IFA Convention. We’ll do our best to help you out, as we have three of our own attending the conference and will be looking to offer their reports live from the convention floor. If you’re attending, we would love to hear from you, as well.
Will you be following the convention? Sound off!
