Recently at Direct Capital, we had the chance to survey a cross-section of vendors on a variety of topics. We’ll have a whole series on the the results in the weeks ahead.
As we noted yesterday, vendors mostly sell to businesses or to a mix of businesses and consumers. Our next question was this: What mobile devices do vendors use?
As it turns out, they use a wide range of devices to communicate with customers and employees. Here’s a rough breakdown, according to the results of our survey. Respondents could give more than one answer:
- iPhone/iPad: 50%
- Droid: 30%
- Blackberry: 25%
- Other Tablet/Smartphone: 8%
- None of the above: 18%
It’s little surprise that iPhones remain the most used device for vendors because…well, because they’re the most used for everybody. Droids have picked up a ton of business-friendly apps in recent years, so it makes sense that they’ve crawled slightly ahead of Blackerries.
In case you’ve forgotten, Direct Capital actually has a mobile app for vendors. Check it out and see if you can use it.
