The seacoast of New Hampshire, where our Corporate Headquarters is located, is a fantastic place to live. Direct Capital has mirrored the significant success and growth the area has experienced in the past several years and even the recent downturn in the economy hasn’t hit New Hampshire as badly as many other parts of the country.
That being said, there are New Hampshire residents in need, just like every other part of the country. Direct Capital recognizes this and tries to do its part to give back to the community in which we live and work. Every month a local organization is chosen to support and money is raised through our Denim for Donations program. On one Friday per month, we get the opportunity to wear jeans and at the same time raise money and/or donations for a great cause.
We’ve included links below to these organizations. Please check them out and donate to those you connect with. Some of our recent recipients include:
- New Generation Shelter – Two truckloads of clothing were donated to the shelter which supports pregnant and parenting women.
- Seacoast Family Food Pantry – $1,400 worth of food was donated to the food pantry which supports low-income families in the New Hampshire seacoast.
- Seacoast Firefighters Toys for Tots – Two office cubes were overflowing with toys and bikes and donated to the Toys for Tots program this past holiday season
- Denim for Pets – all collections made were donated to the New Hampshire SPCA
- Denim for Troops - Team members collected supplies to send to a family of a Direct Capital employee serving in Iraq.
- Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Direct Capital employees raised over $1,500 for the local Great Strides event held in York, Maine on May 16th. Donations can still be made if you would like to support this worthwhile cause by clicking here.
Individual employees are also active fundraisers for some great organizations. Two ongoing fundraisers by Direct Capital employees include:
- Bretton Woods Adaptive – This organization is a year-round program offering recreational opportunities to people of all ages regardless of disability.
- March of Dimes – The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Several Direct Capital team members participated in the March for Babies on March 16th.
How is your business contributing to the community that you live and work in?
