Direct Capital’s 2017 Summer Outing

There’s no better way to “Enjoy the Ride” than spending time having fun with our fellow employees. Direct Capital recently held its annual Summer Outing to take a break from all our hard work in the first half of the year and to bring our community together to enjoy the sunshine. This year, we gathered at a local park for a field day, complete with music, lunch, and activities.

Employees divided into teams to play some competitive games of kickball and volleyball in heats throughout the afternoon. The same competitive spirit that drives us to achieve our goals at work led to some exciting matchups between co-workers. Employees also took part in lawn games like cornhole, KanJam, and Polish Horseshoes. Some of our department leaders even withstood the cold water of the dunk tank to raise money for a local charity!

During the afternoon of fun and relaxation, our team recharged and prepared to bring some serious momentum as we close out the year over the next few months. Taking time to renew our energy and focus on building a great company culture is important to us, so events like the Summer Outing are some of our favorite company gatherings. In the words of employee Christine Faulkner, “We know that life is short, and we work hard and play harder!”
