Concerned about the impact of last year’s sweeping federal health care legislation on his insurance business, Randy Mobley decided it was time to diversify.
The longtime owner of Group Access Inc., which has been a fixture in Fayetteville, Georgia for the last 19 years, Mobley has long focused on insurance benefits for small employers. By necessity, he said, it was time to change and upgrade the services he offered, even though his business had long been successful.
“The market, however, is changing due to the new legislation with health care, so we have re-created what our agency provides,” Mobley said.
That led to the creation of Resource 7, a varied agency that takes on everything from human resources outsourcing to payroll to estate planning for small business customers. The goal, Mobley said, was to target a wide base of customers and prevent Group Access from “dying on the vine” in case the health care bill damaged his primary service.
“We are unique to the marketplace in that we provide a single access point for the employer that is looking for a complete review of all aspects of their business,” Mobley said.
Like any business seeking to overhaul his services, Mobley needed access to capital to upgrade his computers and infrastructure. He turned to Direct Capital for assistance with equipment financing.
Customer Service Representative Jessica Martin said Direct Capital was able to quickly and efficiently process Mobley’s request. Following up with Mobley and his staff afterwards, Martin said the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
“With this customer, everything went perfect,” Martin said.
Customer Service Manager Megan Hicking agreed.
“We were able to adapt to the growing needs of his business,” she said.
Mobley is happy to report that business is booming, and thankful that he was able to find the financing that made his evolution possible.
“The response to our new agency…has been fantastic,” Mobley wrote in an e-mail to Direct Capital. “Thank you for assisting me in making it happen.”
