It’s a brand new week here at Direct Capital, and I’d like to start it off with a little charitable news.
With the Great Strides Walk sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation moving ahead over this last weekend, Direct Capital decided to raise money for the foundation, which provides help to the millions afflicted with the disease. It is among the most common serious respiratory diseases in the United States, and there currently is no prevention and no cure. The average life expectancy for someone with the disease in 35 years.
The company has donated to the foundation for years, having employed those who the disease has affected directly and believing in making what difference we can in our communities. So over the last two Fridays, employees donated to the cause for our Denim Days, where they can wear jeans in exchange for a donation.
In total, Direct Capital raised $1,280 toward the walk and the foundation’s goal of combating cystic fibrosis.
We hope your small business will join us in donating to this great cause and others like it. Thanks for reading!
