The remainder of the year is projected to be strong for the hospitality industry, but there will be some challenges as well. With new technologies emerging and a still somewhat struggling economy, hotel operators will likely need to have a strong strategy intact to come out on top. Luckily, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) convention is coming up at the Georgia World Congress Center from May 2-5. It’s sure to offer some tips to help hotel owners thrive as 2012 progresses.
Generally recognized as THE voice for hotel owners in the United States, The AAHOA convention’s theme this year is “Bigger, Bolder, Better,” and it seems to fit. The AAHOA, founded with the goal of addressing discrimination issues and increasing awareness of Asian Americans in the hospitality industry, boasts an impressive 11,000 members that represent 20,000 hotels. So they seem to have the “bigger” part locked down. “Bolder” aims to address the creativity needed to thrive in a changing economic marketplace, and “better” means to expect programs this year that have a greater impact and are aimed at empowering those 11,000 members. They definitely have our attention!
The tradeshow part of the event will also be worth checking out – offering a little something for everyone. Direct Capital will be in attendance representing the financial services sector, alongside exhibitors in hotel operations, hotel security, construction and design, business services, and franchising.
What are you hoping to learn at AAHOA this year?
